After releasing his successful Trap House Jodeci project last year Ye Ali has been hard at work on his follow up, Trap House Jodeci 2. Seeing as these things take time the 26-year old artist decided to release an EP, Passions and Patience in the meantime. "I'm a new artist, but fans of mine have been riding with me for like, four years. I feel like I owe them this," he told Noisey.
"I fell in love with R&B music when I was seven years old, so I knew one day I'd be writing songs like that," he continues. In his latest, Ye takes a dance-hall vibe and smooths it out in the perfect way. The second half of the track morphs into a high falsetto R&B slow jam and features upcoming artist and producer Izaïah. Different than most of his other tracks, "Refreshing" is a good look into the singer/rapper's versatility as an artist.
