The last time we heard from Yasiin Bey was back in January when he had left Kanye West a voicemail on his phone after being arrested in South Africa for allegedly violating immigration laws. In that voicemail, the artist formerly known as Mos Def announced that he’s retiring from the music industry soon, and that his final album would be dropping later in 2016.
Now fast forward to today, a day after he left a random message for fans in Scandinavia, Yasiin decides to return to the music scene with a new Ferrari Shepard-produced single called “Dec 99th - N.A.W.” which stands for “needs and wants.”
