Every year since the death of A$AP Yams, the A$AP Mob have come together to honor the group's late visionary. Last night marked the third anniversary of their annual concert they host in New York City. While Yams' contributions to hip hop culture go past the A$AP Mob, they always bring a slew of affiliates along with them to create a memorable night. Unfortunately, the evening ended in havoc as gun shots allegedly rang out and a brawl ensued. But prior to that, The Mob was full force as artists such as Nav, Lil Yachty and of course, A$AP Rocky blessed the stage. Fortunately, we had a photographer on site and we were able to catch some candid moments before things went south.
XO's Nav was one of the first people to bless the stage. The Toronto artist came through to perform his Travis Scott collab "Biebs In The Trap" before jumping into "Wanted." Shortly after, Rocky came out to get the crowd hyped. He also blessed the crowd by playing three new songs off his upcoming album while yelling "testing" to the crowd. Rocky's set is usually the last one of the evening so it was an unexpected surprise.
Afterwards, Lil Yachty hit the stage and brought a bunch of friends with him. He played his hit singles, "Ice Tray" and "iSpy" before bringing PnB Rock, Ski Mask The Slump God and Tekashi 6ix9ine to perform.
Playboi Carti later came through to perform his hit singles "Wokeuplikethis*" and "Magnolia." However, Rocky was supposed to come out to do another small set and apparently, he was going to bring Uzi out on stage.
