The artist you either love or love to hate has been a busy man of late, coming off a massive performance at Rolling Loud. XXXTENTACION took some time out of his schedule to preview some new music, which he shared in a Twitter video.

The clip finds X vibing in a studio, bumping his latest creation. The track is a far cry from his previous music, driven by an acoustic guitar and low-key bassline. It's almost southern-Gothic in nature, more country than hip-hop. X shows off some vocal chops, singing instead of rapping and dropping some nice harmonies in the process.

"Some kill, some steal, some break your heart/And you thought that I would let it go, let you walk/Broken hearts break bones, and break-up fast, and I don’t wanna let it go, so in the grave I rot.”

The lyrics seem to suggest that X is running with the theme of revenge, and the tweet's caption suggests that may even be the song title. What do you think of this new clip? Is this a welcome direction for the young artist?
