XXXTENTACION is proving himself to be quite a versatile artist. After previewing some promising new music a few days back, X just dropped a brand new track called "looking for a star (CANT GET YOU OUT OF MY HEAD)." The track is uncharacteristically pristine, missing his usual distorted sonic aesthetic. Instead, Diplo comes through with a minimalist island beat, and X drops some wistful melodies. His voice undergoes some vocal processing, pitching up and down for emphasis.
The track marks an interesting direction for X, and it's unclear if this track is set to appear on his upcoming 17 project. Either way, it's certainly a welcome addition to the rapper's growing and eclectic catalog.
