XXXTentacion is in the process of spreading positive energy, at least in a public setting. Admittedly, the rapper has been plagued by a troubling past, which has cast doubt on his ongoing character shift, at least in some circles. For others, the redemption of XXXTentacion remains a fascinating and inspirational narrative. Either way, he remains divisive. On that note, the rapper has reached out to another controversial young rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine.

In a brief video clip, X hit 6ix9ine with an uplifting birthday message. "Happy birthday brother," says X, "spread light, spread good energy, spread good messages around the world, help those in need, good energy, happy birthday." However, it seems like Tekashi was hesitant to accept the message with open arms, hitting X with a passive aggressive (though potentially ball-busting) caption. "He clout chasing lol," writes 6ix9ine, "na thank you Satan."

It wouldn't be surprising to see Tekashi take shots at X, who remains one of the more popular artists in his age class. However, it would seem like 6ix9ine is in need of allies right now, having found himself embroiled in a war with Trippie Redd, Tadoe, and Chief Keef; the trifecta recently linked up for a Tekashi diss track called "I Kill People." The efforts don't seem to faze 6ix9ine; he continues to cavort with Cuban Doll, playing buddy-buddy with her in Hawaii of all places.

Peep the message from X, and ponder the nature of Tekashi's reply. In the interim, the infamous XXXTentacion mask picture lives on. As it shall, for all eternity.
