The holidays are fast approaching but, while this time of year is normally a cause for happiness and celebration as another calendar year comes to a close, things could get a whole lot gloomier for XXXTentacion as the young rapper prepares for his date in court to answer for some of the shocking claims that have circulated about him this year.
In a post to his official Instagram account, XXX offered up an apology to his fans in the caption of a post that shared his court information with the public. "if I am taken into custody, I want to tell everyone I've let down I apologize," he said. "I tried my best, I really did.." That line, while surely genuine, will be met with at least some eye-rolling from those who have kept up with shocking stories concerning the rapper's behavior, specifically as it relates to episodes of domestic abuse.
As we previously reported, X's legal team is desperately trying to get him out of the court case that has stemmed from the assault accusations levied by a former girlfriend, who said that he beat her and threatened to kill her while she was allegedly pregnant with their child. Information from a little over a week ago said that the ex-girlfriend was not willing to stand on trial, how the D.A. is still adamant about going ahead with the prosecution.
XXXTentacion is facing charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, false imprisonment and witness tampering.
