The WWE has confirmed that one of its legends, King Kong Bundy, has unfortunately passed away at the age of 61. There are currently no additional details surrounding his passing, although those details will most likely be coming soon. If you followed King Kong Bundy's career, you would most notably remember him from his Wrestlemania 2 matchup against Hulk Hogan. After the news released of Bundy's passing, Hogan made sure to issue a statement and pay homage to the former wrestler.

"Overwhelmed by King Kong Bundy’s passing, only great memories, R.I.P.  big man until we meet again," Hogan said.

Other WWE wrestlers shared their thoughts on the news as well, mainly through social media.

"Hate to hear about the passing of King Kong Bundy. He was so cool to me when I walked in that dressing room as an absolute nobody in 1986," Mick Foley tweeted.

Bundy was considered one of those friendly giant type characters just like Andre The Giant. At 6'4" and 458 pounds, Bundy was a fan favorite and quickly ascended the WWE ranks after entering the scene in 1985.

You can watch a clip of his fight against Hulk Hogan below. Condolences to all those who have been affected by the loss.
