Wiz Khalifa's newest single "Remember You" features The Weeknd and was pretty well-received by fans, although most noted that it sounded more like a Weeknd song with Wiz featuring. It turns out, The Weeknd actually approached Wiz about the song in the first place.

Wiz spoke to MTV News about the collabo, which we first heard about back in April, and said that The Weeknd sent him the beat, thinking he'd sound good on it. "It came together, that was actually Weeknd's idea," the TGOD leader said. "They sent it to me like, 'Yo, I got this beat, I got this song idea and we should rock with it.'"

He continued to explain how the song slowly evolved, "When we put it together, it started off small, and then it just grew to something so major and it was like, 'Yo, we gotta run with it man. The vibe on here is incredible, '" Wiz added, "It's beautiful."

"Remember You" will live on Wiz's upcoming album, O.N.I.F.C., dropping December 4th.
