Michigan-raised producer GRiZ scored something of a coup in landing Wiz Khalifa for his latest single. Truth be told, it appears as though Wiz was present for every bit of the exchange if not completely enthralled by the prospect of adding gospel-fusion to his resume. Khalifa spoke to Complex about how the unexpected became a reality.
"The first time I heard the beat for 'Find My Own Way' I knew there was something special there, since the beat alone feels good," Wiz told Complex. "I just had to sit with it and smoke a little KK and figure out my approach and I think it came out exactly how it should."
"Find My Own Way" will serve as GRiZ lead single heading into his album slated to hit the press on April 5. Ride Waves will also feature the singles he crafted with DRAM and Matisyahu in the past few months. The issuance of "Find My Own Way" is but a glitch afforded to the hip hop masthead ahead of the single's widespread release at midnight.
