British DJ Switch was one of the founding members of Major Lazer, and now he's launching a new project called With You. After posting a slew of remixes on his Soundcloud in the last month, including Meek Mill & Drake's "R.I.C.O." & OG Maco's "Bitch U Guessed It," With You. drops an original in "Ghost" feat. Vince Staples.
"Ghost" utilizes a hypnotic bass line and four-on-the-floor kick, not Vince's usual style, but his flow is so in the pocket here one wonders if he should use these sort of beats more often.
With You.'s mission statement promises to "[combine] influences from different times, scenes and genres into something new, something fresh, With You." Given the project's early focus on hip hop, expect to hear more from it on this site.
