"Black Panther" almost brought Will Smith to tears.
Days after Black Panther's official North American release the Marvel movie is continuing to reel in box office domination and credit from the many industry insiders and fans alike.
The latest celebrity to personally shout out the movie and everyone involved is Will Smith, who is no rookie to viral Instagram videos. Will shares a video to his Instagram calling on everyone involved in the film from director Ryan Coogler to stars such as Chadwick Boseman, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira Michael B. Jordan, Letitia Wright, and Daniel Kaluuya.
He explains how what they "have done is spectacular" and "damn near" brought him to tears. Will says the film "challenged and potentially even shattered a lot of longtime, long-held false Hollywood beliefs and paradigms" making him "proud, excited, and damn near giddy."
The caption Will used on his video was a special message he received from Nelson Mandela: "With the type of fame that you have attained it is important when you encounter your fans that you—Reach Your Hand Out and let them Feel Your Flesh," he relayed. "You have to prove to them that you are REAL—because people can not aspire to anything they do not believe is Real."
