Florida rapper Wifisfuneral has gained a lot of traction this year on the strength of his Black Heart Revenge mixtape. The next step on his staircase to greatness is his next project When Hell Falls, which arrives January 27.
Yesterday, he shared "Luv Me Never", a Henry Daher-produced, electric piano-driven track that augurs a light sonic pallette on When Hell Falls, if not lighter themes.
"I heard the beat when I was in my hotel room and the first line just came to me." Wifi told Fader of "Luv Me Never." "I had an idea about what I should talk about. The whole point of the song was to talk form two different point of views: my point of view during the verses and a significant other's point of view during the hook. The hook comes from a saying my mom would tell my dad when they were always arguing growing up."
Give the song a listen and read Wifisfuneral's HNHH interview.
Love me now, love me never
Don't get touchy, cold as ice
You kill me deadly
But yo on the real just listen
Your heart's getting warmer but your thighs getting colder
Your thighs getting warmer but your heart's getting warmer
