What’s New In Battle Rap (January 23)

After Uno Lavoz didn’t show up to battle Rone, DNA stepped in on very short notice. This led to a one round rematch on the Flatline 3 stage.

This one round battle took place in Marv’s hometown of Detroit, but that didn’t stop Charlie Clips from putting on a good performance.

The U.S. and U.K. MCs come together in Canada at King of the Dot’s Flatline 3. The battle was bogged down a bit by Dialect’s low quality microphone and a crowd that seemed less than enthusiastic.

This was a comedic battle complete with Uno dancing around stage and Big J dropping an unexpected n bomb.

This somewhat underwhelming battle featuring Harlem’s Head I.C.E. and Detroit’s X-Factor went down at GO-Rilla’s The Blueprint event.

Carter Deems and Isaac Knox put on quite an entertaining battle on the Don’t Flop USA stage, complete with Carter Deems signature cat loving style and his very own pocket check.

King of the Dot’s Battle of the Bay 7 started last night in Oakland and day 2 goes down today, which includes the highly anticipated Arsonal vs Mistah F.A.B. battle.

This is a match up that many people have been predicting and/or asking for since the Blackout 5 lineup was announced, and it looks like they’ll get their wish. Shotty vs Hitman is going to be the main event for day 1 of Blackout 5.

This two day event will be a continuation of their recent Sixth Birthday event. However, this card is exclusively British MCs. Well, except for Tricky P. Also, the Tony D vs Unanymous title match will go down at this event. Hopefully.

Following Don’t Flop USA’s debut event in Atlanta, league founder Eurgh announced that the league will head to Detroit this June.

Apparently the purse for the fight was rumored to be much higher than it actually was, and Dizaster dismissed it as “another publicity stunt to make Math relevant”.
