Though New York's Governor's Ball brought out a wide variety of talented artists, it seems like Eminem emerged as the proverbial man of the hour. Slim held it down Sunday, June 3rd, with a twenty-eight track set, which included surprise appearances from 50 Cent, Royce Da 5'9", and Phresher; in keeping with recent tradition, Em even took some time to once again shoot his shot with Nicki Minaj. Meanwhile, Shady's own Westside Gunn (who joined the label in a joint distribution deal with Griselda Records), spent the day hanging with Em, a testament to his rising stature.

"FLYGOD X SLIM SHADY!!!!!!!" writes Westside, alongside the photo. "My son used to visit me wearing them Tan & Greens now he's hanging with Marshall, 50 and Royce I've never lied to u before." In an accompanying image, Gunn sits and ponders his position in the game, while a technician prepares the stage. "I could be in somebody's Prison or in somebody's Cemetery instead I'm on the GOVS BALL stage gettin paid for doing something I love," he writes in the caption. Humbling words.

There's no telling whether Em and Westside will ever collaborate, but it would certainly be an interesting stylistic blend. While Em's presence is nowhere to be seen on the upcoming Chris Benoit album, it goes to show that Marshall is still holding it down for the Buffalo rapper all the same.
