Westside Gunn is a self-made man. Such is well understood, especially if you're familiar with the journey of his come-up. In short, the man has done his part in building Griselda Records from the ground up. Now, having recently signed a distribution deal with Eminem's Shady Records, Westside Gunn has proven that hard work and dedication can pay dividends to those willing to keep their nose to the grindstone. And while his musical accomplishments have been impressive, it would appear that another side of his artistic development is about to be tapped.
Taking to Instagram, Gunn has announced he'll be officially joining the New Era team, designing an exclusive line of hats. "Today a dream has came true," Gunn writes, stating "I’ve always wanted to be a designer that’s one of my biggest passions I remember growing up in BUFFALO gettin shirts made in the 9th grade having my friends wear my line at 14yrs old." He continues, thanking the company for giving him a chance to flourish. "Thank the @neweracap family and THE ppl meaning y’all the supporters that continue to help me push the culture forward now I’m about to present some of the illest hats ever made stay tuned bc now everything is official."
