At the final stop of the Drake and Migos tour that just ended, the Canadian rapper let his former mentor Lil Wayne deliver a prerecorded message on the jumbotron. "Champagne, what's up, man? Congratulations on your tour. You a bad motherfucker. Much success, much love, much props, much credit, all due, all well deserved. You earned it all bro."

Nothing out of the ordinary up to that point, right? But then without pausing to think, Weezy let out a major revelation concerning his future plans with Drake, another tour VERSUS tour like they one staged four years ago with YG, Yo Gotti, PartyNextDoor, G-Eazy, and iLoveMakonnen as their opening acts. These were his words: "I can’t wait to get back on that stage and we do our own tour again. Drake vs. Tune, Wayne…whatever you wanna call it," he blurted. "You will never win, you never do. Congratulations."

Lil Wayne's playful commentary at the end of the video message may seem mindless and unobstructed, when in fact it's characterized by irony. Since Lil Wayne and Drake are perceived to be closer than kin, the object of his words is to run the VERSUS match in the opposite direction.
