XXL's annual Freshman Class is expected to be announced later this Spring, but before the publication shares its picks for the most promising young talent in rap, the artists are submitting their pitches for a spot on the iconic list.
Last year's cover included the likes of 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Kodak Black, Lil Yachty, Anderson .Paak, G Herbo, and Denzel Curry, making it one of the strongest and most accurate collections of artists in some time.
This year, there are some strong contenders once again. So far, Playboi Carti, PnB Rock, Ralo, Uno The Activist, and Bruno Mali Kidd are among the artists who have done Freshman pitches. Watch them below and let us know who you think should make the cut.
