Vince Staples released his new album Big Fish Theory this past Friday and, last night, he continued his recent slew of TV appearances by performing one of the new tracks on The Tonight Show.
Staples took the stage with Kilo Kish, Ray J, Damon Albarn and also got an assist from The Roots with the instrumental. The performance featured an interesting video backdrop, with a waveform pulsating to the beat of the music and some "talking head" images showing up on the screen behind the stage at certain moments. The overall performance had a stark, futuristic feel to it, which counteracted the funky vibes generated by the song itself.
