The Victoria's Secret fashion show in Shanghai brought one model to her knees.
Maybe a more appropriate walk-out song would've been "Timber" ...
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show went down in Shanghai over the weekend and featured more than its fair share of memorable moments. Alessandra Ambrosio completed her final tour of duty as a VS angel, marking the end of the 36-year-old's 17-year career as one of the most memorable faces for the high-profile fashion brand. However, the woman who stole the show wasn't Ambrosio or even Bella Hadid, but Ming Xi, who had a tough time putting one foot in front of the other when it was her turn to walk out into the spotlight.
As some video footage from the event shows, Xi went down like a sack of potatoes while on stage at the Shanghai show, appearing to trip on either her dress or some other part of her outfit while trying to move towards her mark at the end of the catwalk. Fortunately, her Victoria's Secret teammate Gisele Oliveira lent her a helping hand and subdued a situation that could've been far, far worse for Ming Xi. It will surely go down in history as a very memorable turn for her.
Elsewhere, Hadid was able to showcase her outfit without any stumbles, as did Sara Sampaio, Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel and Lily Aldridge. The event was held at the Mercedes-Benz arena, which is one of the glitziest venues in the city. According to TMZ, the edited part of the event will air on CBS in a week's time. There's no telling if they'll end up cutting the Ming Xi's tumble out of the telecast.
This isn't the first thing that a big fashion event in Shanghai has not gone according to plan. Earlier this year, A$AP Rocky had his power cut off in the middle of a live set, performing alongside some of his A$AP Mob cohorts in a venue that may not have been accustomed to that kind of a crowd or a show. In any case, Flacko spiked his mic on the stage and then left in a huff, eliciting more than a few murmurs from the stunned audience. You can check out the video clip from that incident here.
