Although his buzz & momentum might’ve taken a slight hit after being shot at Irving Plaza last year, Troy Ave hasn’t let his fans down when it comes to new music this year. Back in March, he dropped off the album Dope Boy Troy, before following that up with his Nupac album in April. Then in June, he kept fans satisfied again by dropping off a new 17-track mixtape called Style 4 Free, before hitting us with The Album of the Summer in August. Having been relatively quiet since then, Troy decides to change all that today by returning to the scene with a new video in support of his latest album for “Smooth Criminal.”
Directed by White Ape Films, the video finds Troy Ave spitting his shit on the mic in the studio, while footage & scenery of the warm vibes of South Beach Miami appear throughout. From the bikini-clad women hanging out on the beach to a local house party, Troy Ave portrays the life in sunny, South Beach in this follow up to “Tonight” video.
