Rae Sremmurd's Mannequin Challenge-soundtracking single "Black Beatles" was a massive hit, holding the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven non-consecutive weeks. Therefore, it shouldn't be too much of a surprise that it became a favorite of CNN correspondent Robert Baer's, though we did learn about his Sremm fandom in an unconventional way.

During a discussion on CNN this week, "Black Beatles" began to ring out mid-conversation. A few seconds later, Baer appeared to stop the song from playing from his phone. From this, we can only assume that Baer has the track set as his ringtone. While the hilariously awkward moment was not addressed on air, many viewers were able to record it. Rae Sremmurd's Twitter account has been retweeting fans who caught the moment live, so it seems they approve of the co-sign.

Last we heard from Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, the brothers that make up Rae Sremmurd, they revealed that their third album, SremmLife 3, was almost complete. They also teased a new single called "Perplexin' Pegasus," which sounds like it could be another hit for the duo. Maybe Robert Baer will have to change his ringtone for the occasion. Then again, he'll probably be keeping his phone on silent in the immediate future.
