On February 9th, 1964, The Beatles made their iconic American television debut on the Ed Sullivan Show. On February 9th, 2017, Rae Sremmurd performed their #1 hit "Black Beatles" on the same stage for Stephen Colbert's Late Show.

That's at least how Colbert billed it, but seeing as the duo was playing a show in Stockholm the same night, it seems this performance was likely pre-recorded. Nevertheless, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi's performance aired on the 53rd anniversary of the Beatles' legendary appearance, and they made sure to make a lasting impression.

The brothers were characteristically energetic, commanding the stage with their dance moves, and enlisting a keytar player for backup.

They recently brought Drake out at their show in Amsterdam. Read our August / September digital cover story with the duo here.
