Pell is known primarily for cooking up music in the studio, but as a New Orleans native, he's also pretty experienced in making Jambalaya, Louisiana's signature dish. Of Spanish and French influence, the meat, vegetable, and rice mix is an ambitious undertaking, but Pell's instructions should give you the confidence you need to get the best -- and spiciest -- results. "Today, I'm gonna be teaching y'all how to cook some Jambalaya. I am from New Orleans, that's why I felt this was right. I'm dropping a new music video called "Patience," so I had to show some love for New Orleans," he explained, deeming his his very casual cooking special the hilarious title Pell's Kitchen.

One thing Pell made sure to enforce was that the Jambalaya be as hot as possible. "I prefer something that's really hot and spicy, so try and find the hottest. I prefer that hot shit, HoNewHipHop, that HotNewSausage," he said. "You need to feel the sweat. I recommend you get some Tony Chachere's or you get some Louisiana hot sauce to kick it up a notch. Emerald is one of my favorites."

If you're looking to take Chef Pell's advice, you can check out his full list of ingredients below.
