Dreamville's J.I.D. and EarthGang are among some of the most promising up-and-coming artists in the game. For some context, EarthGang's recent string of EPs (set to culminate in Royalty, dropping Friday, February 23rd) finds the duo exploring different soundscapes, while J.I.D.'s The Never Story was a prime showcase of the young rapper's extensive skill-set. Lyrically, J.I.D., Johnny Venus and Doctur Dot are all top tier, with bars rivaling that of label CEO J. Cole

With the big leagues on the agenda, EarthGang and J.I.D. recently hit the road for the "Never Had Shit Tour." Today, they've come through with a behind the scenes look at their adventure. Episode One of the "Never Had Shit" tour blends cinematic visuals with honest reflections from all three artists. Covering stops in Seattle, Sacramento, Santa Cruz, Oakland, Fresno, and Santa Ana, J.I.D. reflects on one of the biggest changes he's seen thus far. "It's one of the first times in my life like I've ever seen people know all the words," states the Atlanta emcee. The crazy thing is, their run seems like it's only getting started.

Check out the first half of the documentary below. Seeing these dudes out there living the dream is certainly cause of optimism. If you're in need of some sonic therapy, EarthGang dropped off a brand new single called "Nothin' But The Best" this morning; it's well worth a listen. Check that out here
