The defending champion Golden State Warriors are in last place in the Western Conference.

The Houston Rockets spoiled Golden State's championship celebration with a come from behind 122-121 victory at Oracle, behind James Harden's 27 points, 10 assists and six rebounds, not to mention Eric Gordon's 24 points off the bench.

The Warriors began the night by handing out their championship rings, unveiling a new championship banner, and unleashing a barrage of threes on the visiting Houston Rockets. Golden State maintained a double-digit lead throughout most of the game and entered the fourth quarter up by 13 points, but a would-be game winner from Steph Curry clanked off the rim and Kevin Durant's follow up came just after the buzzer.

Chris Paul had four points along with 11 assists and eight rebounds in his Rockets debut, but was forced to sit out the final 4+ minutes of the game due to soreness in his left knee. He may miss Houston's game tonight in Sacramento.

Steph Curry spoke about the loss, per ESPN

"We're not in playoff shape at all, but I think we competed pretty hard. There were probably four possessions on the defensive end where we didn't rotate and gave guys like an eternity to shoot wide-open 3s. And that's not characteristic of us, so you got to point to something that was an issue with that. Maybe we were a little gassed in those particular moments, but I think over the course of 48 minutes, we had a lot of energy, played with a lot of determination down the stretch and just tried to get some stops and figure it out. But if [conditioning] is something that's a concern, I'm sure we'll figure it out as we go along."

As expected, NBA Twitter was buzzing from the moment the championship rings were handed out until the final shot. Check out some of the reactions to last night's Rockets vs Warriors game below.
