Rappers have been celebrating Hennessy for a long time, but it looks like Jay-Z's D'usse could be the cognac of choice for rappers in the future. Today, Wale, who was previously signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation, assists Tae Bae in an ode to the alcoholic beverage.
Tae Bae recruits Wale for their low-key banger, "D'Usse." The song kicks off with Wale who shouts out both Jay-Z and Ty Ty before the drum drops and the two rappers deliver an infectious hook. Tae Bae and Wale deliver charismatic verses over a bass-heavy production handled by K-Hendrix.
This is the first time we've heard a new verse from Wale this year. However, he's previously said that he has a stash of music with Meek Mill and Rick Ross that he's sitting on. "I have endless songs wit Ross and Meek respectively . Can’t wait to let em fly and start the dialogue about MMG," he tweeted on New Year's Day. Hopefully, some of those surface in the near future.
