A few days, Waka Flocka took to his IG to share the artwork for his next single called “Was My Dawg,” and he even tagged “La Flare1017” in the photo. So while everyone thought the song was going to be about his former “dawg” Gucci Mane, Waka told BBC Radio yesterday in a new interview that it wasn’t about Guwop, but that we’d find out Wednesday when the song is released. Alas, the song has surfaced online, and it looks like Waka was covering his tracks because the song definitely seems to be aimed at Gucci.
While Waka doesn’t say Gucci’s name directly in the song, he does point out some past history that only describes his former Bricksquad partner…“Always yelling Bricksquad, always talking fam first/when your ass got locked up, you turned on the fam first.”
Waka told BBC yesterday that the song was about him going at the whole industry, not Guwop, but take a listen for yourself & you be the judge. Thoughts?
