You can try to buy a man's silence, but often times, the investment is like building on quicksand. For a brief moment, Vince Staples haters seemed to rejoice at the rapper's recent GoFundMe campaign, which invited those with open pockets to essentially fund his retirement. Though the lofty goal of two million seemed a pipe dream, it didn't stop a few poor-money-managers from compiling a respectable two grand in hush money. Ultimately, the whole thing ended up being a promotional tool for his excellent new single "Get The Fuck Off My Dick," which many fans deemed a "return to form," whatever that might entail.

Now, Vince Staples has brought a premature end to the campaign. "Seeing as we clearly won’t reach our goal of 2 million dollars, I am cancelling the gofundme and refunding all the little people with big voices," says Vince Staples. "I expect to hear no further slander." And while donors will be refunded with absolutely no lesson learned vis-a-vis fiscal responsibility, it would appear some good might emerge of this after all. Vince has also confirmed that he will be "personally matching the donations made and donating the full amount to the Michelle Obama library of Norf Long Beach."

Vince Staples is for the people. As of now, he will be hooking up the library with $2022 worth of literature.
