Vince Staples' EP Prima Donna drops this Friday, but before then he and Adult Swim Singles Program have a treat for us. They linked up to drop the full version of “06,” the final track on Staples’ break out album Summertime ’06 that abruptly cuts out right when it’s hitting its stride.
The full version of the track is just as good as we hoped it would be, with the satisfying bass knock combined with static samples and clattering drums. The track still isn’t especially long at just over two minutes, but the length doesn’t take anything away from it.
