Yesterday, Vic Mensa was part of the VIP section on the floor of Kanye's TLOP/Yeezy Season 3 party at Madison Square Garden. 'Ye even passed Vic the AUX cord so he could give the crowd a preview of his new single. After the event, Mensa still had the energy to drop off a freestyle for his good friend Skrillex, as he was the guest on the producer's OWSLA Radio show on Beats 1.

Though the full show airs tomorrow (Feb. 13) at 3pm EST, Apple Music has provided a stream of a freestyle Mensa spat while on the air, as Skrillex asked the Chicago emcee to go off-the-top over a production from the young EDM duo Louis the Child ("From Here"). The sunny, nu-disco instrumental is a different look for Mensa, though he manages to fit several impressive rhymes in the 1-minute time slot he's given.

Quotable Lyrics

Just coolin', took a ride down the 101
It's Friday night, I think I'm about to have some fun
I got good friends in the building, it's me & Sonny
Nighttime, but I'm still feelin' sunny
