Vans has joined forces with Marvel for an expansive sneaker, apparel and accessories collection featuring an all-star roster of iconic super heros including The Avengers, Black Panther, Deadpool, Iron Man, Hulk, Groot and more.
Among the kicks featured in the Vans x Marvel collection are the Authentic, Old Skool, Slip-on, Sk8-Hi and sandals, each of which is inspired by a different character or multiple super heros. For instance, the Black Panther Sk8-Hi references King T’Challa’s vibranium suit, stylized with heavy-duty ripstop, claw-like hardware and embossed embellishments.
Representing the Super Hero squad, a custom Old Skool has been outfitted with a unique color story to symbolize key members; a vivid blue toe-box and shield graphic heel counter are a nod to Captain America while the shoe tongue has been reimagined to mimic a piece of Iron Man’s high-tech suit of armor.
In addition to the footwear collabs, Vans and Marvel will also release a line of matching t-shirts, hoodies and jackets, as well as accessories such as hates and backpacks.
The Vans x Marvel collection will be available for men, women and children at Vans retail stores and select locations globally beginning Friday, June 8.
