Valee and Cardo Got Wingz are cooking something up outside the bounds of what's been going down at Kanye HQ of late. The G.O.O.D. Music signee and producer Cardo have both confirmed via social media their joint venture Season Of Da Sickness is due anytime soon. The Chicago rapper recently posted a series of sneeze emojis in response to a Twitter user saying, "If @valee gets a 7 song Kanye album I’ll shit myself." The joint announcement all but confirms Valee is not in line for a 7-song album like his label mates, but Kanye will evidently oversee any project under his imprint, the choice of Cardo Got Wingz an excellent one.
Cardo has quietly become one of the industry's most versatile beat makers, with production credits under his belt that any beat maker would be happy to retire happy having completed. The decision to pass on "Goosebumps" is one many rappers/singers have come to rue. Of course Cardo is interesting in serving his own musical interests, and his own keen eye for talent, as in the case of Payroll Giovanni, Taylor Gang and artists of the like. Valee is certainly not taking a step back in working with Cardo.
