A slew of previously unreleased J Dilla cuts are scheduled for release starting this December and through 2013.
Legendary producer J Dilla's posthumous releases have been coming out the vaults lately. Both Dillatroit and The Rebirth of Detroit were released this year by his estate. Now Yancey Media Group has announced they plan to release more previously unreleased tracks from Dilla in 2013.
Yancey Media Group and Delicious Vinyl are teaming up to release "Lost Scrolls," a slew of never-heard tracks. The digital-only single "The Throwaway" featuring Illa J and Frank Nitt will be the first of the releases, out this December. In early 2013, a 10" vinyl record with previously unheard production and rhyming from Dilla himself will be released. The Frank and Dank album 48 Hours, which was bootlegged before, will then also be officially released, as it was entirely produced by Jay Dee.
