Kyrie Irving’s geriatric alter ego Uncle Drew has become a staple for Pepsi, and is even getting his own full-length film at some point. He’ll be making another appearance during All-Star weekend in a new TV commercial that also features Baron Davis and J.B. Smoove.
The trio of Uncle Drew, Louis (played by Baron Davis) and Angelo (played by J.B. Smoove) sit in a pizza parlor discussing what the All-Star Game is really about and generally being crotchety old guys. Drew stresses it’s about “getting buckets.”
The new pizza parlor location will be recreated at All-Star Weekend where the three personalities will join DJ Envy for a pop-up shop. There will be new Uncle Drew merchandise, which hasn’t yet been revealed. Check out the commercial below. You can expect plenty more from Uncle Drew this year, especially once the season is over.
