TYuS is really riding a groove right now with his brand of R&B. This latest track is no different, except perhaps to show off even more of the Portland singer’s pop sensibilities. “My Way” is nothing but smooth.
Where the song is most impressive is TYuS’s ability to say things that are brash and somewhat uncouth, but make them sound as digestible and catchy as a pop song. He does it all over Twice As Nice production, which features layered, looping electronic samples behind well-constructed drums. The distorted vocal sample in the chorus ties everything together.
