Portland crooner TYuS dropped off his Hitboy-produced Phases EP last year, and has returned to give us a double sided music video that resulted from the collision of two of the project’s tracks: “Brand New” and “Other Side.”
In the clip, we find TYuS as he strolls through the daytime, pushing out sweet nothings about a woman of interest on “Other Side” before transitioning to a nighttime shot that features the singer enjoying a carefree night out with friends on “Brand New.” It’s a shift that perfectly embodies the essence of the Phases EP.
“My life in particular is always going through phases,” TYuS previously noted. “Ever since I could remember, I was always moving from one phase to the next. That really influences the music. This is currently a growing phase for me. It’s time to go all in. So, that’s what I did on this EP.”
