The past year has been relatively rough for Tyrese. Towards the end of 2017, he was involved in a messy custody battle with his ex-wife over their daughter. However, in the midst of it all, he revealed that he was having some financial troubles. At one point, he even thanked Will and Jada Pinkett Smith for giving him $5M for his legal fees in his custody battle, which was ultimately proven to be false. While the judge ultimately granted Tyrese and his ex joint custody of their child, Tyrese still has some financial issues he has to tend to.
TMZ reports that Tyrese is being sued by American Express for owing them a whole lot of cash. According to the report, Tyrese has an unpaid balance of $61,071.53 with the credit card company. The actor's financial troubles came to everyone's attention in November after his financial documents surfaced. He was making $105,686 a month but his monthly expenses totaled up to $107,576. At the time he filed these documents, it was revealed that he had close to $900K in the bank at the time as well as real estate property that was worth nearly $2M. In addition, he also copped a $4M home in Atlanta last year.
Aside from his financial troubles, Tyrese has a lot to be thankful for. The entertainer is expecting his second child with his current wife Samantha.
