SInce distancing himself from the rest of the Odd Future collective, Tyler, The Creator has made unexpected collaborations an integral part of his music. His last two albums have featured people as diverse as Erykah Badu, Stereolab's Lætitia Sadier, Toro Y Moi's Chaz Bundick and Roy Ayers, and his next might even have more surprising names. Tyler invited Zayn Malik (who recently departed One Direction) to record with him.

Hilariously enough, Tyler once referenced Malik's former group on his and Earl Sweatshirt's "Sasquatch":

"Got some One Direction tickets, I should hit that up
Drive by with puppy signs plastered on the truck
Then see how many of they fans could fit inside the trunk"
