XXL made a big decision by including full-out R&B singers on their XXL freshmen list this year. While the line between singer and rapper is becoming increasingly grey (word to Rich Homie Quan), it's clear that Ty Dolla $ign and August Alsina both identify as R&B singers.
Still, it appears the crooners are delivering acapella freestyles anyway, which is a little more difficult to pull off than a simple rapped 16.
Ty brings his pipes out for the occasion and drops some memorable lines, proving he's up to the task.
Look out for freestyles from the rest of the Freshmen over the next week or so.
