Ty Dolla $ign, Kendrick Lamar and D&D drop "L.A."

We're still not entirely sure when we'll be getting Ty Dolla $ign's debut album, Free T.C., but today, we at least get to hear the most anticipated track from it. "L.A." features Kendrick Lamar and R&B Group D&D.

A methodically paced hometown anthem, "L.A." is a little closer to Ty's comfort zone than preceding single "Drop That Kitty," but still a little more mature and heavy than most of the typically-sex-obsessed crooner's existing music. Lamar raps fiercely on this one, undercutting the rest of the track's exaltation of the Cali hub with some unfortunate truths about the city that raised him.

Edit: track has been taken down at the label's request, as it is an "unfinished demo leak."

Quotable Lyrics

God let me right my wrongs, god let me write this song
God in the middle of the mart, let me hit the pawn shop, mama said we need a loan
God let me dedicate this to the 80% that ain't never comin' home
God let me know that you exist in a city where a 100 hollow tips are thrown
