Since the resignation announcement coming from Democratic Senator Al Franken late last week, the heat has been on others who work on Capitol Hill to pressure Donald Trump into making a similar concession. Now, it seems that Congress might not have a choice, should they want to avoid the bad PR that has irrevocably attached itself to many men in the same position.
Three of Trump's sexual harassment accusers, Samantha Holvey, Jessica Leeds, and Rachel Crooks, all appeared on Megyn Kelly Today earlier today ahead of a news conference that was held by Brave New Films. The object here was to state the need for a bipartisan, uncompromising congressional investigation into Trump's past transgressions.
"It was heartbreaking last year," said Holvey, who claims that Trump not-so-innocently walked in on her and other Miss America pageant contestants' while they were in their dressing rooms back in 2006. "We're private citizens and for us to put ourselves out there to try and show America who this man is and how he views women, and for them to say 'Eh, we don't care,' it hurt."
Crooks, who alleges that Trump kissed her on the mouth without consent in 2005, described the President has having a history of "serial misconduct and perversion" in the news conference that followed the Today appearance. "Unfortunately, this behavior isn't rare in our society, and people of all backgrounds can be victims," Crooks added. "The only reason I am here today is that this offender is now the president of our country."
Leeds says that she was groped by Trump while they were on a plane in the 1980s and also managed to call her "the 'C' word" during another encounter that happened later on in her life. "The room cleared," she told Kelly. "It was like everybody disappeared." Check out the entire news conference below.
