The rap game is a tense place for young rising stars. While hip-hop beef has been a fixed cultural staple throughout history, today's up-and-comers have forsaken the art of the diss track, opting instead to air their grievances on Twitter or Instagram. Threats are made, reputations are questioned, and names are called; all the hallmarks of a good schoolyard fight. The pot was inevitably stirred once again when tension between Trippie Redd and Tekashi 6ix9ine once again came to a boiling point. Despite previously telling Big Boy that there was no beef, it seems as if something set Trippie off, leaving the "Love Scars" rapper on the warpath.

Trippie and Tekashi sqaured off in a Twitter exchange, which was captured in full below. The general vibe of the tilt basically amounted to two people shouting what they should have done to one another, expressing regret over their lapses in judgment. It started when Trippie Redd called Tekashi's gang affiliation into question, writing "only blood ik that gotta tap in with crips to be safe." Trippie was no doubt alluding to Tekashi's recent controversy, in which he found himself at the center of some gang related tension; Redd went on to accuse Tekashi of reaching out to Big U and Wack 100 for protection, which led to Tekashi clapping back.

Eventually, XXXTentacion's name was inevitably dragged into the mix. Though the Florida rapper has stayed relatively low key, his influence on up-and-coming rappers can still be felt. Trippie obviously feels some type of way about former collaborator X, whom he calls a "bitch ass n***a," who contradicts everything he says. Read the full exchange below.
