A few weeks removed from releasing her Blue Pill teaser EP, Trina is gifting us with a previously unheard collaboration with the recently-dispersed City Girls, two women many have earmarked as rightful heirs to the traditional rap setup in Florida. But as dictated in "I Just Wanna," the City Girls will have to cope with co-ownership of that space, because Trina is anything but done with her reign as the "Baddest Chick in the Game."
The 305 area code continues to be the purveyor of a seemingly impossible femme machismo, existing in view of the Catholic saints worshipped by Cubans. See for yourself; special attention was put towards the bubblegum aesthetic for the video. Trina, Arie (who sings the hook), and Yung Miami (Free JT) wade through ball pits in their self-described "birthday suits." I couldn't have scripted it myself.
Look out for The One when it drops in the coming months. By the looks of the tracklist, Trina is hell-bent on making her comeback album one of the ages. The One is slated to include contributions from the likes of Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Boosie Badazz, and Tory Lanez, among others.
