Travis Scott's Astroworld has earned a gold certification from the RIAA. The news comes as no surprise after Travis' album cemented the second-highest debut in 2018, netting 537,000 equivalent album units in week one on the charts. Drake's Scorpion, which the album unseated from the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100, currently holds the highest debut week of the year with 732,000 equivalent album units. Astroworld is Travis' third album to receive RIAA certification with both 2016's Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight and Rodeo hitting platinum in May 2017.

"Butterfly Effect," Travis' single off the project, was certified 2x platinum in January. Other singles released by the rapper that have been certified gold, platinum or multi-platinum include "3500" (gold), "Antidote" (3x), "Through The Late Night" (gold), "Pick Up the Phone" (2x), "Beibs In The Trap" (platinum), "Go Off" (gold), Miguel's "Sky Walker" (platinum) and "Goosebumps" (4x).

Astroworld gave Travis his biggest first week to date, making the album his fastest to earn gold certification. All 17 of the songs from the LP landed on this week's Hot 100 chart. Additionally, two songs off of the album made its way into the top 10. "Sicko Mode" and "Stargazing" are sitting at number 4 and 8, respectively.
