Trae takes an introspective look at the region's most popular drug of choice, lean. In the song, Trae reminisces on DJ Screw, and how lean took his life. He also pays homage to the legendary Screwed Up Click members who have passed on, but still reveals his own penchant for the syrupy concoction.
Trae Tha Truth keeps the music video simple, and lays down his verse while posted on a bridge. Contortionists twist and turn their bodies like pretzels in another scene, which may be a symbol for how twisted Trae feels inside after the loss of his comrades.
