The man known as Tory Lanez dropped a new single mere hours ago and the masses are still reeling. "B.I.D" came at a time when fans were pining for new Memories Don't Die offerings, and satisfied those appreciative of Tory's dexterous penchant for melodies. It's a smooth cut to be sure, and Tory was in great spirits during his recent interview with Zane Lowe, who ultimately went on to premiere the track on his Beats 1 radio show. While that in and of itself is a watershed moment in the Memories Don't Die rollout, the ensuing conversation yielded a few welcome moments of genuine character development.

Aside from calling "B.I.D" one of his favorite records off the album, he went on to explain that his own personal bar was set high. "I wanted to make sure it was super perfect," explains the rapper. "I wanted to make sure that all the things that I didn't do on the first album, I conquered on this album. All the places that I lack and I was weak at, I wanted to conquer this time." You have to respect a man willing to acknowledge his shortcomings and make a conscious effort to remedy them. May we all benefit from the fruits of his labor.

As we know you lot covet your Drake news, get the journals ready. When asked about his favorite musical moment thus far, Tory mentioned his rekindling with Drizzy as a "big moment for music in general." He elaborates, stating:

"We just spoke. We just spoke as two men, that was it. It wasn't some crazy like candle lit room like Mafiaoso boss moment. We just spoke. We never really had too much conversation. I think now that we spoke more it’s kind of like all of the things that he goes through I go through. I kind of go through probably on a way smaller scale because I'm not at that level in my career where he is but I think there's a lot of similarities between us as people that we probably just never thought was there before but at the end of the day it is, so that was a good moment"
