Beefing has always been a good way to draw attention to yourself (good or bad), and nowhere is that more apparent than our weekly Top Tracks chart. Diss tracks tend to outperform other material— no matter if you're someone who's never appeared in our top ten before or a mainstay. Rarely have we ever seen anyone adopt this as a full-scale business model as aggressively as Tory Lanez currently is. After already dominating a few recent charts with shots between him and Joyner Lucas, Lanez has moved onto Don Q and seen similar returns.
This week, Don Q and Chris Brown are tied for the most appearances inside the top ten, with two apiece. New tracks barely missing out on spots this week include Mysonne's "If He Dies He Dies" (another Lanez diss) (#11), YBN Cordae's "Locationships" (#12), Wiz Khalifa, Trippie Redd, and Preme's "Alright" (#13), and Ace Hood's "Practice" (#14).
10. Gunna - One Call
Gunna's following up an insanely hot 2018 with a sequel to his EP Drip Or Drown, as he recently announced on Twitter. Our first taste of the project is "One Call," which he dropped last Friday. It debuts at #10.
9. Dreezy Feat. Offset - Cash App
Two Fridays ago, Dreezy dropped her album Big Dreez. The biggest feature on there was definitely Offset, who guests on "Cash App." In its second week out, the song is up five places from #14 to #9.
8. Chris Brown - Who Dis
Chris Brown's semi-response to rape accusations is the only track from last week's top ten to stick around for a second go-round, and it's also one of two tracks of his on this week's list. In its second week out, "Who Dis" falls two places from #6 to #8.
7. Kevin Gates - Right Game Wrong N****
Kevin Gates hasn't yet announced a follow-up to last fall's Luca Brasi 3, but that hasn't stopped him from consistently dropping new music. His latest, "Right Game Wrong N****," debuts at #7.
6. Nicki Minaj - Barbie Going Bad
During her Beats 1 Radio show last week, Nicki came through with two new, Barbie-fied remixes, one of Gunna and Lil Baby's "Drip Too Hard," and one of Meek Mill and Drake's "Going Bad." Her take on her ex and labelmate's recent collaboration debuts at #6.
5. Joyner Lucas & Chris Brown - Just Let Go
Although this is the last song on this list that's not directly related to Tory Lanez, it does feature his recent sparring partner Joyner Lucas. "Just Let Go" is another track from his and Chris Brown's long-delayed collab album, Angels & Demons. It debuts at #5.
4. Dream Doll - On Ya Head (Tory Lanez Diss)
This past week, Dream Doll's the one who's clearly benefitted the most from dissing Tory Lanez, as the little-known rapper attracted a ton of listens for this track that contains various scandalous claims about alleged sexual encounters between her and Lanez. "On Ya Head" debuts at #4.
3. Don Q - This Is Ya King? (Tory Lanez Diss)
The most recent arrival in the Lanez/Don Q feud is also the lowest-charting song by either guy on this list, as it only arrived a few days ago. "Is This Ya King?", Q's second Lanez diss to date, debuts at #3.
2. Don Q - I'm Not Joyner
Don was the first to fire in this war of diss tracks, delivering "I'm Not Joyner" just over a week ago. The song, which Lanez answered with "Don Queen," debuts at #2.
1. Tory Lanez - Don Queen (Don Q Diss)
Tory may have only delivered one diss to Don Q's two thus far, but on HNHH, his track got almost the combined views of both of Q's. "Don Queen" easily debuts at #1.
