21 Savage, Drake, and Young Thug's long-awaited "Issa" tops our chart this week.
The power of the snippet has increased so much in the past few years that by the time many songs arrived, their hype has already been cresting for weeks or even months. Such is the case with this week's TOP 100 chart-topper 21 Savage, Drake, and Young Thug's "Issa," which has been breathlessly discussed for months without so much as an official version to speak of. Will it top the chart again once we have a CDQ? Only time will tell.
Quavo leads the way this week with three appearances, two of which are solo and one of which is with the rest of the Migos. Takeoff, who debuted his first solo track last week, is in second with two. New tracks barely missing out on spots include G-Eazy's "Maximum" (#14), Lil Yachty and Key!'s "Yea" (#15), Gucci Mane and Offset's "Met Gala" (#17), and G-Eazy's "Shake Up" (#19).
10. Lil Durk Feat. Quavo & Lil Yachty - Homie Bitch
For his latest track, Lil Durk linked up with two of the hottest ATLiens in the game, Quavo and Lil Yachty. This is the first of Quavo's three appearances, two of them solo and one with the rest of Migos. "Homie Bitch" debuts at #10.
9. Wiz Khalifa - Stay Stoned (Redbone Weedmix)
Twitter's been awash with fan-made alternate versions of Childish Gambino's "Redbone" lately, and this past week Wiz KHlifa threw his hat into the ring with another one of his Weedmixes. This one follows his take on SahBabii's "Pull Up Wit Ah Stick" from earlier this month. Wiz's "Stay Stoned" debuts at #9.
8. Desiigner - Outlet
Could Desiigner's "Outlet" finally be on its way out of the top ten? It's had its ups and downs in the several months its been on our chart, but #8 is the lowest it's charted in a while. In its 17th week out, "Outlet" is down three spots from #5 to #8.
7. Gucci Mane - Hurt A N**** Feelings
A few days ago, Gucci Mane put out Drop Top Wop, his fourth release since being freed from prison just about a year ago. The collaborative project with Metro Boomin was led off by "Hurt A N**** Feelings," a single that was shared with a video a day before the tape. The track debuts at #7.
6. Takeoff - Intruder
Over the past few weeks, producer OG Parker has shared solo cuts by Quavo and Offset, and this past week, Takeoff became the third Migo to drop a track with Parker. "Intruder" didn't chart as high as either of Takeoff's peers' tracks, but a debut in the top ten is still a big win for the most unheralded member of the group.
5. Meek Mill - Glow Up
After a few rough years and a divisive tape (last fall's DC4), Meek Mill finally seems to be getting his groove back. The Philly rapper shared the three track EP Meekend Music a few weeks back, and then he quickly followed it up with the well-received "Glow Up." The track debuts at #5.
4. Migos - To Hotty
In a big week for Migos collectively, "To Hotty" is the only time all three linked up on the same track. This one's taken from an upcoming Quality Control compilation, so stay tuned for more tracks from the label's artists. "To Hotty" debuts at #4.
"RAF" did big numbers even when all we had was a leak, and now that a CDQ arrived last week, little has changed. It's supposedly the first single from a new ASAP Rocky project, so keep your ears to the ground for more details on that. The "RAF" CDQ debuts at #3.
2. Future Feat. Kendrick Lamar - Mask Off (Remix)
Kendrick Lamar remixing Future's radio hit "Mask Off" was certainly unexpected, but it certainly wasn't poorly received on HNHH. The track garnered an 86% user rating, which along with its chart position, is pretty impressive. The "Mask Off" remix debuts at #2.
1. 21 Savage Feat. Drake & Young Thug
By the time we hear the actual official version of 21 Savage's long-teased Drake and Thugger collaboration, "Issa," people might already be sick of it. After various (very) low quality rips surfaced weeks ago, a somewhat better one emerged this past week, only to be taken down soon afterward. Nevertheless, "Issa" debuts at #1.
