As opposed to a winter and spring that found a lot of repeat appearances in our Top Tracks list, summer's been more of a free-for-all, with quick week-to-week turnover as everyone seeks to land a summer anthem. Sure enough, we've only got two returning tracks from last week's list, and following another big recent trend in this feature, both involve Drake. Drizzy's got fingerprints on three of these ten tracks, as does Future, a sure sign that the What A Time To Be Alive team are still comfortably the hottest in the game.
Falling off this week are Logic and Pusha T's "Wrist" (down 17 spots to #19), Tyga's "1 Of 1" (falling 38 places to #41), Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons, Logic, and Ty Dolla $ign's "Sucker For Pain" (just barely missing a second appearance by going down 8 places to #12), Jeezy, 2 Chainz, and Future's "Magic City Monday" (down 17 spots to #22), Belly, The Weeknd, 2 Chainz, and Yo Gotti (down 47 spots to #6), Wiz Khalifa's "More And More" (dropping 17 spots to #24), The Game and Jeremih's "All Eyez" (down 50 places to #58), and Gucci Mane's "All My Children" (falling 17 spots to #26).
New tracks narrowly missing out on top ten spots are Chris Brown, WizKid, Hoody Baby, and Section Boyz's "Shabba," Snoop Dogg's "Coolaid Man," Lil Uzi Vert's "Stole Your Love," and Wiz Khalifa's "Mismatch."
10. Kid Cudi - Goodbye
Since last year's trainwreck of Speedin' Bullet To Heaven, Kid Cudi's adopted a slower release pace in 2016, only dropping three tracks thus far. That'll soon change if and when he releases the first of two purported albums dropping later this year, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'. No word yet on whether "Goodybe" will be on that, but the Dot Da Genius-produced cut is certainly stellar. It's up one spot from last week, breaking into the last spot of the top ten in its second week out.
9. DJ Esco Feat. Future & Young Thug - Who (Prod. By DJ Esco & Metro Boomin)
DJ Esco's star-studded E.T. tape may not be as consistent as most Future projects, but what it lacks in cohesiveness it makes up for in bangers. One of the finest is "Who," which marks the first time that Fewtch has linked up with Thugger since Metro Boomin's 2014 track "Chanel Vintage." "Who" is up 42 spots in its second week to land at #9.
8. DJ Khaled Feat. Drake - For Free
This one just refuses to go away. DJ Khaled and Drake's "For Free" dropped over a month ago now (June 3rd), and hasn't yet fallen out of the top ten. In fact, it's even up two spots from last week, landing at #8 in its fifth week out.
7. G-Eazy Feat. Quavo - In The Meantime (Prod. By DJ Mustard)
Another long-standing fixture in the charts (although this time we're talking about the Billboard 200), is G-Eazy's When It's Dark Out, which has been in the top 30 ever since its December 2015 release date. He hasn't released a project since-- and hasn't really needed to-- but he's kept things on lock with a few loosies here and there, the latest of which is "In The Meantime." It makes its debut at #7.
6. Lil Wayne - Pray To The Lord (Mastered) (Prod. By StreetRunner)
One of the most unexpected bright spots this year has been StreetRunner's continued leaking of long-lost tracks from Lil Wayne's Carter III era. "Pray To The Lord" is the sixth such song, and like most of its predecessors, it ended up in the top ten almost immediately after its release. "Pray To The Lord" debuts at #6.
5. Drake - One Dance (Culture Clash Dub Plate)
At this point, three separate versions of Drake's most successful single to date, "One Dance," have appeared in out top ten. First there was the original, then the Justin Bieber-assisted remix, and now the Dub Plate that Popcaan debuted at a culture clash in Jamaica a few weeks back. THis one makes its debut at #5, despite only a 53% user approval rating.
4. Rae Sremmurd - #DoYoga
Sremmlife 2 still isn't arriving for another month and a half, but despite its late summer release slot, Slim Jimmi and Swae Lee have had the season on lock with several hot singles, first "Look Alive" and now "#DoYoga." Again, the song's success bodes well for the album, as this single debuts at #4.
3. Future Feat. Drake & 2 Chainz - 100it Racks (Prod. By DJ Esco & Southside)
Although "100it Racks" didn't really seem to live up to the sum of its star power (a 70% user rating is far too low for a Future, Drake, and 2 Chainz track), its star power alone seems to be keeping it afloat for a second straight week. It falls just two places from last week's top spot.
2. Joe Budden - Making A Murderer (Prod. By AraabMuzik)
Lets face it, the only way Joe Budden's cracking the top five in 2016 is by dissing a rapper who's much more famous than he is. A lot of people clicked in curiosity to see what he'd have to say to Drake, who originally earned Budden's ire in the wake of the whole Quentin Miller fiasco, but most didn't like what they heard, with the song's approval currently sitting at 66%. Nevertheless, "Making A Murderer" debuted at #2.
1. DJ Khaled Feat. Future & Jay Z - I Got The Keys
For his first two Major Key singles, DJ Khaled's really knocked things out of the park. The Drake-assisted "For Free" still hasn't fallen off after a month straight in our top ten, and now "I Got The Keys" has racked up almost twice the amount of views of its runner-up this week. It comfortably makes its debut at #1.
